The scheme occupies a former open meadow on sloping ground on the fringe of the town centre. This is a locally sensitive and highly visible location. Working with Tyack Architects, the current scheme has been achieved only after a lengthy planning, consultation and inquiry process.
The Landscape design reflects the contrasting open and confined spaces characteristic of traditional development in this part of the Cotswolds. It incorporates a wild flower meadow with public access, native hedgerows and trees, together with hard landscaped parking court and cottage garden style planting around the apartments. A more contemporary style is used for the inward-looking care centre courtyards, roof gardens and water features.
